Welcome to my violin studio, I'm so glad you're here!
Teaching violin has become an integral part of who I am as a human and I'm so incredibly joyful to be sharing my love of this instrument with my students.
So, what is a studio? It a lively community that represents the violin lifestyle, where we unite to celebrate and uplift each through group lessons, recitals, workshops, and more.

Sarah Cole's Violin Program Includes:
Weekly lessons
When you sign up for lessons, we'll figure out a time for consistent regular private lessons throughout the year
Two formal recitals
Students of all age and ability have the opportunity to perform multiple times a year. A professional pianist rehearses and accompanies students for recitals.
Throughout the year, there are many opportunities like outdoor summer recitals, performances at senior centers and even paid gigs for some students.
Group classes
Group classes are a large part of what makes Ms. Cole's program so well rounded. Students are assigned to a small group of similar age & ability to learn new ensemble pieces emphasizing listening and playing together. In classes, Ms. Cole weaves music theory, music history, composition, ensemble playing and strong community building.
Students are challenged in group classes while also fostering important human skills like supporting peers, learning to give feedback, problem solve and share encouragement with their colleagues.
Practice Videos
Ms. Cole has created an extensive library of practice videos covering a variety of pieces she teaches. Her students can access these videos anytime, providing them with support for their practice throughout the week.
Practice book and sheet music
Ms. Cole gives each student their own practice binder and all required sheet music throughout the year.
Tuition based model:
Taking violin/viola lessons extends beyond the private lesson time with Ms. Cole.
It’s about individual study, surrounded by a community of like-minded musicians, with regular accountability and support from parents and peers. Ms. Cole designed a program for students which includes everything to help them be the most confident and well rounded young musician.
A tuition-based model is not only convenient for families, it greatly enriches a student’s musical education.
Tuition is a set rate that doesn't change throughout the academic year (September - July) and includes everything listed above!

Adult Violin Lessons:
Sarah welcomes adult students at all learning stages into her studio!
-
Are you an adult who has always dreamed of playing the violin?
-
Maybe you're reconnecting to your long lost hobby?
-
Play regularly but want some help on a tricky piece?
Sarah can teach you how to play traditional Classical pieces, Pop tunes and even Irish and Old Time American fiddle tunes.
"Whoever said “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks” was wrong. I am an adult learner who never studied any instruments as a child. I have been working with Sarah Cole as a new student for a couple of months.
In this time, I have learned to read music and play several songs on the violin with Sarah’s guidance. Sarah's love for her instrument is contagious.
She offers me personalized instruction and encouragement. She is candid in her feedback but always constructive. Sarah is delightful to work with." - K.M.
